Positive Changes Create Positive Lifestyles

The Medina branch of the Akron Area YMCA is primarily dedicated to providing nontraditional, mission-based programming to Medina County, such as the Phoenix Alternative School, state-licensed Child Care programs and Summer Day Camps that instill the YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect, responsibility and faith into kids, teens, adults and families.

The YMCA is also the site for the Gift Exchange Program, a court-based, collaborative effort that allows noncustodial parents safe and supervised visitation times and exchanges.

The Phoenix school is a fully accredited, behavior-modification program designed to serve as a coeducational alternative for adolescents ages 12-18, who are involved with the court system and/or having academic or behavioral problems. All credits earned while attending Phoenix will transfer to the student's home school.

The licensed child care offers quality child care in the elementary schools for working parents.  Summer Day Camp is an all day,day care program that offers sports, activities, field trips, socialization, arts & crafts and more.

School Age Child Care
The Medina County YMCA offers licensed school-age child care programs for the Brunswick and Medina City Schools.

Registration fees: $30
